ASUS has once again expanded its Eee product portfolio with the addition of the highly anticipated touchscreen T91 and T101H. Both systems have been designed to provide some new features in the world of netbook computers, offering users a choice for an Atom-powered tablet PC with touchscreen capabilities. Expected to be showcased at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, the two Eee PCs have been built to provide 8.9-inch and 10-inch displays, as most of the other netbooks on the market.
On the technical specification side, the new T91 comes with an 8.9-inch LED-backlit touchscreen display. It is expected to boast the computing power of Intel’s Atom Z520 processor and will become available with both a GPS and TV tuner, raising the stakes a bit, when compared to other netbooks currently available on the market. The Eee PC T91 measures 225mm x 164mm x 25.2 – 28.4mm and weighs 2.2 pounds, and it will be running on Microsoft’s Windows XP Home SP3 operating system.…read more

…read more

The Japanese manufacturer of the full-body robotics system says that HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb) is a platform designed to boost the strength of the wearer between 2 and 10 times, via the use of incorporated sensors that can detect the electrical impulses the brain sends to the limbs in order to make them move. These impulses are intercepted and analyzed in real time, prompting the device to move with the wearer, thus avoiding the system hindering the person it’s assisting…read more

Jordan Horwich felt like he could do better with some unique speakers for his music needs, and decided that simply buying other new ones was too simple and geeky.
“The total cost ended up around 100 USD for everything. It was mostly the shipping prices that made it so expensive. If I had spent some more time finding cheaper prices, or finding the parts locally, the cost would have been about 60 USD.”

“Good girl gone bad” is the tagline that sold her most recent album so well but, when she really has to, Rihanna too knows how to be a good girl. The Associated Press is reporting that, in order to still be able to hold the February 13 gig in Malaysia, the singer has decided to obey the official rules and dress up to be allowed on stage.
Government guidelines in Malaysia have it that, so as to not be held in violation of decency regulation, any female performer must be covered in clothes from “the top of her chest, including her shoulders, to her knees,” the AP says. And, by all accounts, it seems that Rihanna will succeed where others like Avril Lavigne and the Pussycat Dolls have failed, since she has already agreed to tone down her onstage attire a bit.

SanDisk will start shipping this month two new memory cards from the Mobile Ultra line. The 16GB microSD and M2 units will be bundled with MobileMate Micro Reader for easy USB connection.
SanDisk announced their new memory cards – 16GB microSD and 16GB M2 from the Mobile Ultra lineup. They will be available to the world this month.
These two new additions to the removable memory products are not the first with this huge capacity. Class 2 16GB memory cards are already available on the market. According to SanDisk the new Mobile Ultra cards promise faster transfer speeds and access times.
The suggested retail price is $120 for the microSD and $130 for the M2 one, which is twice as much as the price of the regular Class 2 cards.
The price difference is even more harsh having in mind that SanDisk are not actually claiming that these cards qualify for a higher class. And we really doubt they are twice as fast as the current products. Still, if speed is what you’re after at all costs, you might as well give them a try as these cards have an extra selling point – a 10-year limited warranty.
