– Agensi
Lim Ding Wen, a Malaysian living in Singapore, is a 9-year-old iPhone developer. His app, Doodle Kids, has been approved by Apple and is currently available for free download through the iTunes App Store. The app was originally developed for the Apple IIGS and was ported to the iPhone for more kids to enjoy.
Lim Ding Wen is very interested in programming. He started learning to write code at age 7 and is probably the world’s youngest Apple IIGS programmer, reads a virtualgs report. Ding Wen is now a bona fide iPhone developer, “with his software Doodle Kids selling in Apple App Store,” the post misinforms. That’s right, “misinforms” because Doodle Kids is completely free to download and use on an iPhone or iPod touch. According to the same post, Ding Wen is now an ActionScript and JavaScript programmer. He is also said to understand Applesoft BASIC, GSoft BASIC, Complete Pascal, Orca/Pascal and a little Objective-C.
Doodle Kids is Ding Wen’s first event-driven program written for the Apple IIGS. Since the actual computer is now out of everyone’s reach, the program can be run on a multitude of emulators. There are a few good Apple IIGS emulators like Mac OS X: Sweet16, Mac OS 9: Bernie ][ The Rescue, KEGS for Windows and Linux and a Web-based emulator working on Firefox or IE on PC called ActiveGS.
Particularly, Doodle Kids is a full screen painting program for kids to draw random shapes and colors. Kids clear the screen for a new drawing session by pressing the Delete key. To do color cycling, the Space key is used, while ESC quits the program (unfortunately, controls for the iPhone version aren’t disclosed). Ding Wen has written Doodle Kids for his younger sisters. It is designed and written completely by himself.
Doodle Kids is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch and requires iPhone 2.2 Software Update. Use the link below to download the application. source:news.softpedia.com

ASUS has once again expanded its Eee product portfolio with the addition of the highly anticipated touchscreen T91 and T101H. Both systems have been designed to provide some new features in the world of netbook computers, offering users a choice for an Atom-powered tablet PC with touchscreen capabilities. Expected to be showcased at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, the two Eee PCs have been built to provide 8.9-inch and 10-inch displays, as most of the other netbooks on the market.
On the technical specification side, the new T91 comes with an 8.9-inch LED-backlit touchscreen display. It is expected to boast the computing power of Intel’s Atom Z520 processor and will become available with both a GPS and TV tuner, raising the stakes a bit, when compared to other netbooks currently available on the market. The Eee PC T91 measures 225mm x 164mm x 25.2 – 28.4mm and weighs 2.2 pounds, and it will be running on Microsoft’s Windows XP Home SP3 operating system.…read more
